[Dec. 2nd, 2005|10:52 pm] |
Sitting here in the hotel with Angel and his band of heroes was almost making a girl sick. Really. I had much bigger plans and goals in mind, yet here I was, playing the innocent do-gooder. Or maybe that was just the morning sickness doing it. Whatever. I crossed my legs under my desk and let out a frustrated sigh. Wait. What was I supposed to be doing again? Oh. Research. Right. To defeat the Beast, which hi, my creation. So, really I'm reading Cosmo then.
Like I have nothing better to do. Just love it when I am asked told to go deliver some papers to the half wits. Like I am some damn courier. I think not. But appartently I am. Tonight at least. Walking into the hotel I ignored the moronic men and marched over to the bitch of all little snotty nosed bitched. "Hello Cordelia. Have some papers for you. I am sure that you can file these, after of course you sign on the pretty dotted line."
I quickly shut the book I had my Cosmo casually strewn in and raised a brow as bitch face of the universe walked in. "Okay, first of all? Not the secretary here, Lil. And second of all, where'd you get those shoes? Sears have a Manolo knockoff sale?" I asked, smiling sweetly. "Now what the hell are these papers for?"
Who does this little brat think she is. These are Prado.........bitch. "Gee, do they have a name for what it is that you do? Oh right, you have mirgaines." Smiling I glanced over at the idiots and then at her. "So seen Wes lately?" My finger tapped on the dotted line. "And just sign the damn thing. It's some legal yada yada about the mortage on this place. Angel may have forgot to mention we do real estate too."
Bitch. She was lucky I was feeling my lunch rumbling in my stomach. Otherwise, I would've fed her her own damn shoes. Picking up a pen, I grabbed the papers but didn't sign. Ech. Wesley and Lilah. Just ech. "Why do I have to sign this? It's Angel's building, Lilah. His mortgage crap. I'm just the seer." I said, rolling my eyes
Sighing I looked over at the "men" who were in the thralls of a debate over which silly gameboy game was the best. "I don't think we could stop their world debate going on there. Seriously, you are listed as the secretary of his little business scheme. So pony on up to the job and sign away." Looking down at her belly I gave a knowing smile. We do know everything after all. "So when's the little bundle ready to pop out?"
I smirked as I looked over at the boys and their toys. "They're always like that. It's sick." I said, finally glancing back down at the papers. I didn't really read them through, because hi I didn't have the time nor patience and I wanted her to leave. Signing the papers quickly, I dropped the pen and put a hand over my stomach. "How'd you .." I glared at her. "Shut your trap Lilah. They don't need to know yet, damn it."
"Oh secret agent momma." My finger went to my lips with a smirk I nodded. "Guess they don't know the whole of it either? So how is it doing the kid you diapered?" She was looking a little green. Perhaps I should be nice considering...oh please, who am I kidding. I would rather slit my wrist. "Bet you could go for some lovely eggs about now. I bet Angel would make them for you."
I narrowed my eyes at her and rose slowly from my chair. Shoving the papers at her, I dropped my book unceremoniously on the desk. "Angel would do a lot more then that for me, Lilah. Like oh, break your wrist if I asked nicely. Or maybe send your dead ass back to Wolfram and Hart with a nice bow." I frowned. "Now I signed your damn papers. Get the hell out of here."
"Scared?" Turning I leaned against the desk watching the boys."Do you really think he'd even care. I mean if it knew what you're up to." Tapping my ear I let a little hiss of air go through my teeth. "He's getting hard of hearing anyway. Hasn't picked up that little pitter patter you have going."
I sighed and watched her lean against the desk. "Don't you have some hell spawn to sacrifice or whatever it is you do at Wolfram and Hart?" I never asked her to stay. She had her damn mortgage papers signed. I didn't need to make small talk with her. I didn't need her as one of my gossip buddies, thank you very much.
Smiling I turned at her, "Your's hasn't been born yet. Guess I have a free day." Pushing off the desk I started for the door turning right before I left. "Oh Cordy, there's a sale at Gymboree. Should I be a dear and pick something up for you." Walking out, I counted..one, two, three........
Shit. Did they hear that? I glanced at the guys. Gunn glanced up for one second, just noticing Lilah's prescence, raised a brow and then went back to his game. Ass. I headed over towards the door, grabbed her by the elbow and led her out to the courtyard. "Do that again Lilah and I'll break your elbow off and shove it up your ass." I said, glaring at her as I shoved her arm away. "Got me?"
Ouch. Damn. The evil within certainly toned her arms up. Now if this was Wes it'd be one thing, but I never got into girl on girl pain. When that pain was my own. Hers, different story. "Don't think you'd be able to do that and still pass off the sweet girl act. I think that even Angel as dim as he is would slightly notice your new found powers, don't you?"
Cordy- "As long as I don't use them around him or the rest of the crew, they're never going to notice." I said, smiling sweetly. "Now if I did that to you, do you really think they'd be minding? Probably not. Jee, don't those mortgage papers have to be in before closing?"
"Gee, I don't really remember. Maybe I should just call and check." I pulled out my cell and dialed smiling just as sweetly back. "Wes, I must have dialed your number by mistake." I looked over at her smiling wider. "But since I have you, dinner is at 6 tonight, isn't it?" Tilting my head with an eyeroll, I watched her for a reaction. "Oh and have you been reading those texts I bought you?"
Faking a gagging motion, I almost did puke. Okay, morning sickness + Lilah playing one of my former sortof best friends = not happy Cordy. "Oh and have you been trying to commit suicide while I was busy planning dinner for us?" I imitated, rolling my eyes. "Leave yet?"
"No Wes, that is a real document. Yes, I know it's very interesting. Just have to find whoever could be that woman. I know mothers are a dime a dozen." Looking pointedly at Cordy I stuck out my tongue. Okay, it may be childish but she was simply a bitch. And I should know bitches. I made the mold. But she was the snotty did nothing to achieve greatness type. Daddy was rich, therefore I rule type. Totally unworthy.
I frowned as she stuck her tongue out and started talking about mother types. "Lilah." I said quietly, glaring. I was tempted to give her a not nice gesture of my own, but I wasn't 5 years old after all. I tapped my wrist, the universal signal for wrap it up and go have sex with him on your own time, damn it.
"Okay, Lover see you then." Putting my cell back in my bag I sighed. "Yes Cordelia?" I hated to admit it but talking to Pryce always raced my pulse. "Hope Wesley doesn't figure out those itching just yet. At least for your sake."
"You gave him that text? And it's about me?" What the hell was she trying to play? I didn't even freaking know there was a text bout me or whatever it was. "Are you purposely trying to ruin my life? Or is it just a job perk?"
"Perk. And security." I looked up at the sky squinting. "We like to be on top of everything, Now, it does appear a few holes are there and sometimes we just have to fill them." I started to walk towards my coupe. "Sure you understand. I prefer having the office do these things, but seeing how it gets Wes all hot I let him play with the bone."
I watched her walk towards her car. Frowning, I glanced back at the doors behind me. "Lilah. If word gets back to my guys in there, well, you're going to be sorry." I said, taking a few steps down so they couldn't hear me. "Trust me, Lil. I know what I'm doing here."
"Let's think here. Somehow I don't see you as the ruling the world type myself. And trust me, we've done those types of profiles on all of you." Smiling as I glanced at the doors myself. Somehow being out here alone wasn't the smartest move. Although Wesley knew I was on my way. Didn't think he'd do a search party for an hour or two if I didn't show up on time. "You do know, the firm will be glad to help with the brat."
"I don't need Wolfram and Hart's help. Especially if it was coming from you. I may be slightly evil, but I'm not stupid. And I wouldn't make a deal with your devils." I said, with a sigh. I placed a protective hand on my belly. "Besides, I have my own little crew and plans. Maybe your profiles are wrong."
"Slightly evil." I threw my head back and laughed. "Dear, you've got evil in droves." Turning back towards my car I shook my head snickering to myself, "She has no idea what's to come. This is going to be amusing."
"Lilah, I hope Wolfram and Hart is still paying for your psychiatrist appointments!" I called out over my shoulder as I started to walk back towards the dear. Evil in droves? I knew that. Hello, it's growing inside of me AND I'm beasty- master. Wonder if she knew that?
Getting into my car I shook. It may be a good time to go on vacation. Take Wes and just head south of the border. The evil I am used to...it's tame compared to what's coming. Glancing back at Cordelia Whoever the Hell she really was I waved. "Part of our medical. We have to destress when dealing with goody goodies like you."
I rolled my eyes. "Have fun with Wesley, Lilah. Don't wear him out too much. Then he won't be able to figure out that text of yours." Bitch. She was one of the top people on my hit list for when the time came. |

Oh how quaint, Angel and his little pack of Angelettes walking down the street nice as you please. Sorry, not in this lifetime. We have some business to discuss after all. You don't get off scot free when your actions have sent my lover down the creek without a paddle. And when that cheek is the river of denial in the land of Hades, makes for a cranky Lilah ghostie.
I appeared into front of him with a smile and a wave.
"Hey there Partner. Want to hear a funny story?"
Oh, does little Angel have a nice shocked look? Sorry, Charlie, the times they are a changin.
"Oh and don't bother having your groupies take me out, being as they can't see me. I'm here for you. Now that funny story. There was this man who had a best friend. See the best friend was a bit of an ass and sold him out. Could say this best friend sold his soul."
I smirked at him walking closer, can't have the ghoul think I can't touch him now can I?
"Sound familiar? Well, Angel, you did good. Wes is in Hell, you're out of a job and you get me to haunt your ass for as long as I see fit."
I poked him in the chest at the heart.
"Or you could just off yourself and I could torment you in Hell. Your pick." |

I have watched them all for this past year, hidden in the shadows invisible to their naked eyes. Watched as Angel sunk lower and lower to the ways of the firm. Carrying them all down with him. And then to watch Wes find love. Not that I jumped up and down over it mind you. But I wanted him to have some happiness and if the Texas twig could have given it to him I was going to deal.
We all know how that turned out. The Senior Partners weren't that pleased with Knox. Trust me his welcome to the Hell offices wasn't as kind as mine. He does look nice on a spit though roasting for eternity.
And then comes Illyria. A girl that evil could have really used, if not for the higher morals of Wesley. Had to turn her around and make her all shiny and new. Wesley my love, that was your true undoing. Well that and being a part of his team. You'd never know that he was trained by that pious Watcher's Council. No, he had to follow the vampire. Run back to him, tail between his legs. Well Wes, you followed him alright. Right into the pits of Hell.
And now it's my turn to do that little thing called vengeance. When I am ready to begin, when all my tacks are in a row Angel will dread the day he was hatched.
Just have to get used to walking on these legs again. The firm does have a nice way of doing business. Screw with us, the world falls to it's knees.
Angel, ready to scrape those patellas on the cement? Cause I sure am ready to see you bleed. |

Lilah looked down to her mostly not clothing and looked back at Wes."I can't go out alone like this. I .....I need to have something to wear."
Wesley grumbled "Your clothes are back there" He growled
Ethan sat in the diner looking up at the apartments. He needed a way to get Lilah out of there without having to fight them for her.
Lilah went to where he had pointed and looked around,"These are mine? I don't wear things like this." She picked out a pair of jeans and a shirt. "Why did you take me? You don't want me."
"Yes you do. Look see?" Wesley gets up and shows her a picture of them together. "You and me. Your name is everyhwere. just.. look." he sighs. "I took you because he's hurting you. I want you but you're not listening to me at all."
Ethan could see the light on in what he was told was Wes's flat, but he coldnt see what was going on inside. He couldn't tell if anyone else was around or if they were still busy withthe vampires. ( anfd what happened ) |

| | cranky | ] | After showing Dawn her room last night I fell into my bed. Being icky sweet takes alot out of you and I miss my Ripper. I mean I am doing this all for him, even if he won't approve. I resist the urge to call him.
Midway through the night I couldn't take it anymore, I got up and ran for the car. I need my fix. The crystal wasn't cutting it this time. Hit a local graveyard and just powersurged the first huge tombstone I saw. Damn bitch was a friggering goody goody. Severed the lines and went off with happy thoughts about home made cookies to find some real power. I mean really, could anyone blame me? I looked around about to break out into a happy Disney tune when I saw a client we had years ago. Beautiful wizards! Gotta love em. I sat centered at his grave for at 30 minutes just sucking it in. The rush was amazing. Severing the lines I went home to beautifully disturbing dreams.
I woke up a few hours later and made breakfast. Kids like eggos, I like frozen. Works for me.
Walked into Dawn's room and shook her awake.
"Brekkie time, we have a busy day sweetie."
Oh yea, I needed that surge. Only way I can be a icky sweet lady all day long. Evil help me! |

I kiss Wes and smile,"Of course. Wes it's ok to show him the garden area isn't it?"
I smile even wider as Wes nods,"Come along Andrew, you get the private tour. Have you ever seen a werewolf pelt?"
I guide him out the door. |

| | the strains of Manilow that Angel has placed on the Musik roster | ] | I got the message from the SP's this morning. Now I have to talk to them again. How can I convince Angel and Wesley that I am on their side...or for that matter for once the SP's are against THE FIRST?
They have always been enemies, both struggling for the power. The SP's actually think they have the edge this time. I can't see how Angel and Co. can defeat it but the SP's think they can. So now I wait in the office of the Dark Avenger. Sometimes the ones at top think just like little boys. |

| [ | mood |
| | anxious | ] | I walked out of the bar late. The worse part of drinking down here is you never get drunk. Not even tipsy. The pain of the past never is allowed to escape. The martinias taste nice though. I can't get Wes' face out of my mind. The pain....... It can't be from me can it? He said he didn't care, didn't love me..that I was just a past time. I know he would never believe how much I cared. How much I loved. How could he? Just some evil lawyer.... |

I find myself standing in his office. The door closed and he's no where in sight. I couldn't help it...a part of me had to know....
Looking in his desk drawer I found the single bill. It's amzing how something so corny can bring happiness. Sighing I sit and wait. It's time to start dropping the clues. The SP's don't want to make this easy on the boys. Make them work for every little crumb of information. But they have always been like that. The weak get weeded out that way. I know Angel. and Wes will make it through, but some of the others not so sure of. Faith, placing bets already on how fast she signs her soul away. And Lorne, he'll be easy to seduce with fame. Gunn, heads or tails on him. Angel....I'm sure in the end he'll smell rosy but along the way he may falter. Fred...she's too innocent to survive long. I take it back, I only know of one who will come through unscathed .I have faith that no matter what Wes will stay above board. He's already walked the lines of gray.
And now I wait. |

After my little meeting with Angel I needed a chance to regroup. So I made it into one of the secret bathrooms lining the hallway. Perks of being in the know.
The bastard already knows my one weakness.
The only weakness I had as a living girl too. Not that Wesley would ever know. He still thinks it was just a matter of fun and games. That ended during that long summer when Angel was gone to his watery grave. I even kept Wes' little secret slave a ....secret. He may think that the bigwigs knew but they never did. Hell if they had Wes would have been offered the moon on a platter. The SP's like sorry SOBs. And Wes ...he can make SOB's look like children playing in the sandbox. No one knows how dark his shades of gray run. Oh yea I know he's a white knight, fighting the evil securing truth and justice, yada yada yada......but at the heart of the mater..Wes is a cold bastard if you cross him.
I should know.
And I am a fool to have fallen in love with him.
Ok, deep breaths...like I need a deep breath. A martini would do nicely now though. Time to play the game and face Wes. |

The bar was crowded with the various lower beings tonight. I had hoped for a quiet evening. There are times I enjoy sipping my hot martinis and just relaxing. Asking one of the waiters what the big deal was I was informed of the takeover of the Hellmouth.
The Senior Partners hadn't figured that one would be so simple. And knowing who would take the second line of defense will not be a fun job for me.
How does one convince someone like Angel that this is for the greater good?
I'm sure I will find a way. I always do. |

[Feb. 15th, 2004|03:18 pm] |
I'm sitting around the firm's bar waiting to be used. Why they trust that little back stabber Eve I will never know. But I do know when they need a new liasion I will be up for the job....and up to making their lives just a bit touchy.
